George Yuan Jie

Dr. Yuan’s main research interests are on developing high-performance mixed-signal sensory integrated circuits. His research focuses on the integrated high-performance analog front-end of sensory systems, specialized CMOS imaging sensors and high-performance data converters. Related applications include cell-on-chip, DNA-on-chip, computed tomography, wearable/implantable electronics, 3D imaging sensing, high-speed CIS, high-resolution CIS, GS/s ADC etc.

From 2020, Dr. Yuan has founded the company Atom Semiconductor Technologies Ltd. The company focuses on developing cutting-edge chip technologies for digital sensors.

Dr. Yuan has published more than 80 technical papers. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. Dr. Yuan was chairs of the Analog Signal Processing Technical Committee and Bio-medical and Life science Circuits and Systems Technical Committee of the IEEE Circuit and System Society. Dr. Yuan was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems. Dr. Yuan was also a Guest Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers. Dr. Yuan served as the technical program co-chair of IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS) 2009.
